What does is cost to live at A New Spirit home?

  • It depends on the location and whether you choose a shared or private room. Participation fees start at $550 for a shared room.     
  • A sober deposit of $300 is required if you are not participating in the Nuway outpatient treatment program. Payment of sober deposit and participation fee is due before move-in. Payment of sober deposit in advance will secure a room for you prior to move in. ​

Your monthly program fee includes:

  • Support for your sobriety in one of the most successful recovery residences in the Twin Cites
  • Fully furnished home with large flat screen TV in living and entertainment rooms
  • Room of your choice (subject to availability)
  • All utilities paid including electricity, heat, water, and garbage. All homes have air conditioning!
  • Digital local programming and thousands of TV shows and movies through a Hulu Live TV account in each house
  • High Speed Business Class Internet with free wi-fi and unlimited streaming 
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Sheets and bedding, if needed
  • On-site FREE laundry 
  • Assistance with local job placement and career building

Additional Information:

​What is not included: Daily meals are on your own. We have a full kitchen available for your use and your own refrigerator and freezer space.
Pet policy: Due to the shared living space, we do not have room for your personal pets. 
Sober Deposit:  A sober deposit is required when starting the program. It is returned to you when you finish the program, having remained sober, and your room is clean, free from damage, and ready for the next person to move in.
What to bring: Shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, and toiletries (if you need assistance with any of these items when you first move in, we can help you out with items to get you started). Bring a pillow and a towel, along with sheets and blanket for a twin bed. If you don't have your own, we can lend you with these items. Bring basic clothing and essential items. You may bring a bike, as we have a secure area outside for you to lock it. 
What not to bring: Furniture and large quantities of personal items. We are not able to store all your personal items. If you are choosing a shared room, be respectful of your roommate's space.
Housing is for Men only: We follow all rules of the Federal Fair Housing Act. Residents authorize New Spirit Homes to interview and place residents in the home where they live. The residents in our homes have elected to live with other men and those who identify as male only. ​
